The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Melbourne-based team in a hybrid capacity.
This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned performer who brings strong technical capability, confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, and hands-on experience across modern software environments.
You’ll work closely with Solution Managers, Engineering, UX/UI, and Architecture teams across the full software development lifecycle, playing a key role in shaping solution design, defining requirements, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.
Experience with AI-enabled solutions is essential, as you’ll contribute to initiatives that leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation, automation, and scalability across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Solution Managers to translate strategic initiatives into detailed, high-quality business and technical requirements
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews, engaging confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Develop and own solution designs, including technical architecture, system configurations, and supporting documentation
- Analyse solution options to assess risks, dependencies, impacts, and opportunities across the business
- Act as a key bridge between business and software engineering teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and successful delivery outcomes
- Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly insights
- Model current and future state processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement
- Serve as a subject matter expert across assigned products, applying best-practice business analysis frameworks
- Contribute to initiatives leveraging AI and automation, enabling smarter, scalable product solutions
Skills & Experience
- 3–4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or senior-focused role
- Proven background in software engineering or technical delivery environments
- Demonstrated experience in solution design and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and the end-to-end software development lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled products or solutions (essential)
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Exposure to using Figma to collaborate on UI designs, review developer-ready screens, and support clear handoff to software engineering teams
- Ability to interpret and contribute to Figma designs (components, layouts, interactions) to ensure requirements and technical constraints are accurately reflected
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Business Analysis, Software Engineering, or related field (desirable)
